Data Storage
Redline stores all data locally on your machine:
| Platform | Data Location |
|---|---|
| macOS | ~/Library/Application Support/redline/ |
| Windows | %APPDATA%/redline/ |
| Linux | ~/.config/redline/ |
This includes:
- Database: SQLite file containing all your boards and nodes
- Settings: Application preferences and AI provider configurations
- Custom Tools: Your custom tool scripts (Pro/Enterprise only)
All your investigation data stays on your machine. Only AI prompts are sent to your configured AI provider (and that's your own API key). License validation is the only external communication.
